Lifecasting

$ 300.00

Before I begin making the mold, I'll take time to get to know you and let you know what to expect each step of the way.

You'll be in good hands as I begin the mold making process. It's a bit like a facial that begins with me applying alginate to your face. This is a food grade substance that, when mixed with water, will be making the impression of your face. Once that solidifies (a couple of minutes), I'll apply plaster gauze on top. This creates a shell that will hold the flexible alginate in it's proper form.

Start to finish, casting process will take approximately 20 minutes.

Once the mold is removed, we'll explore your internal experience of the casting process. You'll have time to wash and dry your face.

Included in this experience is your choice of solid color. I have a large variety to choose from to paint your finished lifecast. I'm also happy to explore special paint treatments and respective pricing. You mask will take approximately one week to dry before paint finish can be applied.

Once painted you're welcome to pick it up in my Woodstock Studio. Or, I can ship it to you anywhere in the contiguous U.S. ($22 per person to ship).

Pictured are a selection of examples.
