Lifecasting

$ 300.00

Before beginning I'll explain the process and take time to get to know you. You will know what to expect each step of the way.

Rest assured you'll be in good hands as I begin the mold making process. It's a bit like a facial that begins with me applying alginate to your face. This is a food grade, gelatin like substance that captures skin texture and makes a realistic impression of your face. Once that dries, I'll be applying plaster gauze over top of it. This creates a shell that will hold the flexible alginate in it's proper form once I remove it from your face.

Start to finish, casting process will take approximately 20 minutes.

After I gently remove the cast you'll have time to wash and dry your face. I'm always interested know your internal experience of the casting process.

I have a large variety of colors to choose from to paint your finished lifecast. Included in this casting process is your choice of one color. You mask will take approximately one week to dry before paint finish can be applied.

I'm also happy to explore special paint treatments and respective pricing.

Once painted, you can pick up your lifecast up in my Woodstock Studio. Or, I can ship it to you anywhere in the contiguous U.S. (shipping: $22 per lifecast).

Pictured are a selection of examples.
